Guillain-Barre syndrome is a disorder in which your body's immune system attacks your nerves. Weakness and tingling in your extremities are usually the first symptoms. These sensations can quickly spread, eventually paralyzing your whole body. In its most severe form, Guillain-Barre syndrome is a medical emergency requiring hospitalization. -For more information: http://www.gbs-cidp.org/

Diabetes is caused when a person's body attacks its own beta cells,
which are inside the islets. The beta cells produce insulin,
and it helps turn the food you eat into fuel for your cells.
Without it, you must take insulin shots every day to live.

We also have our very own Write It Out program. WIO as we call it, is designed to open up the communication gap between parents and their teens by simply using a notebook!
